• You can’t use your MasterCard, VisaCard, and other international debit or credit cards in Iran! Due to sanctions, they can’t be accepted.
• You can, however, use a tourism card during your visit.
• You can buy anything in Iran using Toman (Rial), and your tourism card will come in handy for all payments such as ATM, POS, Internet payments and online shopping

How much should I tip?

• Tipping isn’t very common in Iran.
• There are certain situations where you should absolutely tip, e.g. luxury restaurants, car wash, car parking, and hotels.
• To give you an idea, one euro/dollar is considered very generous.
• If you’re satisfied with the service, it’s good to tip using Iranian currency (Toman)
